As they did in 2008, Elite Motorsports Pro Stock racers will have something extra to shoot for during qualifying at 2009 Nitro Jam national events, thanks to Braswell Carburetion.

The Tucson-based company has signed on to once again sponsor the Braswell B-7520 IHRA Pro Stock Qualifying Bonus, a special program which pays the top Pro Stock qualifier at each national event a $500 bonus.

“Braswell Carburetion made an immediate and strong impact on the IHRA Pro Stock class last season,” IHRA director of competition and technical services Mike Baker said. “We are very excited that they have decided to continue their bonus program this season and give Pro Stock drivers something extra to shoot for during qualifying.”

"The 7520 carburetor was specifically designed for use on IHRA Pro Stock mountain motors," said company owner Dave Braswell. "The carburetors that were previously available were both labor intensive and inadequate for the performance requirements of these big motors. I approached IHRA in 2006 to see if this carburetor would be legal for competition if we went ahead and manufactured it, and they gave us the green light. Now the 7520 is pretty well universally used in mountain motor Pro Stock as well as nitrous Pro Mod, and we're pleased to support the IHRA again this season with our Pro Stock bonus program."

The Braswell B-7520 Pro Stock Qualifying Bonus program will begin at the first race on the 2009 Nitro Jam schedule, the IHRA Mardi Gras Nationals at State Capitol Raceway.
