Event: 2008 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket North Stars double race weekend event.

What to expect: This is the first stop for the Division 3 North Stars and it comes on the heels of the Motor City Nationals.  With back to back races, Milan Dragway agreed to allow all National Event participants to remain on the grounds.  This huge savings in fuel costs should make for a record field. This same format will be repeated in August following the Torco Race Fuels Northern Nationals. Gates will open Friday May 30 at 8am and close at midnight.  There will be a Test & Tune from 3pm – 8pm.  Saturday the gates will open at 8 am with 2 time trial/ qualifying sessions beginning at 9 am with eliminations immediately following 2nd session. Sunday gates open at 8 am with 1 time trial/qualifying session at 9 am and go immediately into eliminations.

Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. The seventh edition of Moser Axle Mania will be run at the Torco Northern Nationals at Knoll Gas Motorsports Park in August of 2008.

American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2008 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2008 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2009 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
