Event: 2008 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket North Stars double race weekend event.

Where: Mt. Park Dragway

When: July 4 – 6, 2008

What to expect: This is the second stop for the Division 3 North Stars and one thing is always for sure…when racers go to Mt. Park they have good food and great fireworks. Gates will open Friday July 4th at 12-noon and will remain open all night.  There will be a Test & Tune from 4pm – 9pm. A Racers Appreciation Cookout will start at 9pm. Saturday tech will open at 9am with 2 time trial/ qualifying sessions beginning at 11 am with eliminations immediately following 2nd session. There will also be Box and Foot Brake race taking place along with 2 Al Hanna Jet Funny Cars and Fireworks. Sunday gates open at 7:30 am with 1 time trial/qualifying session at 9:30 am and then go immediately into eliminations.

Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. The seventh edition of Moser Axle Mania will be run at the Torco Northern Nationals at Knoll Gas Motorsports Park in August of 2008.

American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2008 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2008 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2009 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
