IHRA congratulates Joey Marcotte from Denham Springs, LA on setting a new world record in Top Dragster.

Marcotte had recorded a 6.047 in his 2007 Bos Dragster to earn the #1 qualifier spot during last weekend's Amalie Oil Texas Nationals at Dallas Raceway.  He then ripped off a 6.038 blast on his round one bye run to set the new Top Dragster world record. 

The previous record was set at Rockingham Dragway during the IHRA Spring Nationals at 6.108 by Eddie Careccia.  Only two events into the record keeping for Top Dragster and Top Sportsman and the Top Dragster record has already changed hands!
