Byron Pro-Am Saturday Update
| POSTED: 2009-06-20 23:29:35 |

With a record setting 5 inches of rain within an hour in Byron, Il, Saturday’s Pro-Am race will be completed on Sunday morning.
After pumping water off the track walls until 11:30pm Friday Night and working all morning to fight off the bleed-through, the Byron Dragway staff has proven why they are the hosts of this event. With a late start and an Early curfew, the crew pushed to complete 2 rounds of 1/8-mile racing racing in all classes but Top Sportman.
The Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am race will be concluded Sunday morning and the Champion Systems Sportsman Nationals presented by VP Racing Fuels will follow running ¼-mile.
