Bob Motz
New York – brace yourself for a sensory overload.
After half a decade of jaw dropping thrills and explosive action, promoters of the world’s largest drag racing thrill show have decided to reward the fans of central New York with the biggest Thunder Jam in the history of Skyview Drags July 18, Rt. 17C, just west of Owego, New York.
“This will be the sixth year we have come to Skyview for ‘Thunder Jam’ and each and every year this event just gets bigger and bigger,” said Thunder Jam Operations Manager Jim Marchyshyn. “We love coming to New York and to Skyview Drags and look forward to wowing the New York fans once again.”

Cool Bus
The “Rumble on the Ridge” will feature nearly a dozen of the most exciting exhibition vehicles on earth competing in a one night only drag racing spectacle.
Headlining the annual event will be the return of the “King of Quake” Bob Motz to Skyview Drags. After a four year absence, Motz will bring his 20,000 horsepower jet semi back to New York for the first time since his accident two years ago and will once again look to dazzle the crowd with his 20 foot flames and earth-shattering launch.
“We look forward to welcoming Motz back to action at Skyview. By far the most mind-blowing vehicle on the planet, the ‘King of Quake’ always lives up to the name,” Marchyshyn said.
Also in action the weekend of July 18 will be the two of the most exciting vehicles in all of drag racing going head to head in a Battle of the Wheel Standers.
Ken Nelson and his “Cool Bus” will take on Jimmy DeAngelo’s wheelstanding Fire Truck in a best of three match race to determine who can keep their headlights pointing due north the longest.

Jet Quad
The “Rumble on the Ridge” will also feature the wheel hopping Supercharged Warriors doorslammers going head-to-head both on the track and in an insane burnout contest, along with the jet-powered quad four-wheeler, the Bud Ice Pit Party and much more at one of the largest Thunder Jam events ever.
All this and more can be witnessed for the most family-friendly prices in town.
If you purchase your tickets in advance at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores you can take advantage of an amazing deal. Just buy an adult ticket for $20 and get a 12-and-under kid’s ticket for free. Fans can also pick up a $5 adult discount coupon at participating McDonald’s restaurant locations and at all Binghamton area Trux Outfitter locations.
And, as always, parking and all-access pit passes are free at the Bud Ice Pit Party.

Supercharged Warriors
“We emphasize affordable family entertainment and value with Thunder Jam,” Marchyshyn said. “We know our fans work hard for their money and we strive to provide them with a great show at an unbeatable price.”
