Today's event in the Summit Racing Equipment Pro Am series at Skyview Drags has been postponed to Saturday, September 5th. There were heavy rains overnight that left a lot of water in the area and on the track.

Track crews worked for several hours to dry the track but the combination of no sunlight, cool temperatures and no wind made that difficult. The weather forecasts call for thunderstorms this afternoon, so race officals made the decision to postpone today's event. Entered racers recieved a refund, and the event is still open to new racers. 

The race will be held instead on Saturday, September 5th before the track's already scheduled "Night Under Fire" event. Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. and qualifying will begin at 10:00 a.m. Entries are still open for the race and anyone who is planning to compete in the following weekend's IHRA national event at Epping, NH can leave their trailers at SKyview Drags and pick them up on the way to New Hampshire.  Racers are also offered an opportunity to drop trailers after either the Pittsburgh or Ocseola races.  All racers interested should contact the track office.
