Fayette Golf Cart Company Goes International with Four Time World Champion Team

Ken and Patty Greene of Fayette Golf Car Company (www.fayettegolfcarco.com) in Uniontown, PA have one mission in their day-to-day business operations, keeping their customers satisfied. While they may appear to be a small, hometown company, they are so much more than that. In addition to their regional expansion of the business, Fayette Golf Car Company has put an exclamation point on their international offerings of new and custom golf carts, part and accessories with a new partnership.
Recently, Fayette Golf Car Company partnered with Team Elrod Racing, winner of Four IHRA World Championships. The Elrod team, known as one of the elite teams in IHRA Drag Racing, travels throughout the eastern half of the US and even into Canada. While most of the team’s operations are housed in Ohio, the team also has ties in Western PA.
Pittsburgh resident Patrick Forster, who is one of the four drivers for Team Elrod Racing, met with Ken and Patty to secure additional transportation for the team at their racing events. “After I met with them, it became very clear to me that they are the type of people and company that we wanted to work with. Ken is very innovative and their company as a whole strives to provide the best service and products available. That goes right along with the same ideals that Team Elrod Racing searches to align ourselves with. They are a family owned business and we are a family operated race team."
“We have a five car team running in four different classes. On top of that, our entire families attend each of these events with us. That’s a lot of people to move around, cars to tow back and forth and heaven forbid you left something back at your pit, which could be more than a half-mile away,” Forster added. “Our need for quality pit transportation has been more than fulfilled by Ken and Patty.”
“They are all down to earth people who are very serious about their drag racing,” Patty Greene said when referring to how the relationship started with Team Elrod Racing. “But also know how to have fun.”
“Patrick approached us about working together, and we were all over it,” she continued. “They are known as “Winners” and that made it all the easier for us”
“We’re looking forward to the new cart that Ken is developing, a solar powered cart,” Forster stated. “We will be testing it for them soon to see how it handles towing our race cars in the pits and how long the batteries last. It’s a really cool concept that we are really excited about.”
Team Elrod Racing will be making their only Pennsylvania stop for 2009, August 14-16 at Pittsburgh Raceway Park in New Alexandria for a huge three race weekend, including two IHRA Division events and an IHRA SportsNationals meet that Sunday.
“We invite folks to come out, enjoy the events and stop by our pit to see not only our five race cars but also just how we get around off the track, thanks to Fayette Golf Car Company,” said Forster.
One of those carts on display and in use at the Pittsburgh Raceway Park event will be a red four passenger cart build by Fayette Golf Cart Company. “We will have the high torque electric golf car there which is the one that will become the solar cart. That’s a project we are very excited about and will have the solar part soon,” smiled Patty. “We will also have a red cart there all decked out with diamond plate accessories plus the one we call the Baha Buggy, which can be found on the front page of our website.”

“That is a most definite on the attendance for the upcoming event. We hope to all be there. This is really all new to us, but we really enjoy being involved with the race team. Like I said, they are all a good bunch of people,” she added.
