Skyview Drags is quickly becoming a welcomed stop to most IHRA class racers as the views and personalities available at the facility are some of the most welcoming in the North. The family owned and operated track is a breeding ground for good racing and great times in the pits. It’s been said that it’s tough to be in a bad mood while at Skyview Drags. If it’s your first visit to the top of the mountain, keep your eyes on the road on the way up the driveway as the views will leave you dropping tires.“We keep a good vibe here at the track with all of our staff, and it really transfers over to the racers,” Amy Culver, Track Manager said. Providing a first class racing surface and clean, hospitable pits are just the start, making everyone feel welcome is the challenge we look forward to.”
Special Programs: Summit All-Star Program—Season ending event where the division champions in their respective class will compete against each other for the title at the World Finals at Rockingham.
Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. The seventh edition of Moser Axle Mania will be run at the Northern Nationals at Knoll Gas US 131 Motorsports Park in 2009
American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2008 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2008 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2009 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
