Mike Buie, representing Darlington Dragway, and Joey Anderson, from Douglas Motorsports Park, raced to the final eight of the Summit SuperSeries World Championships with wins at the Heat Wave division 2 East Summit Team Finals at Darlington Dragway. Buie won the No Box class run-off, going up against Richard Newman from Timmonsville, TN in the final round. In the Box final, Anderson won when Chris Johnson red light. Both Drivers will now take their spots among the eight best racers in the country, and after surviving head-to-head competition at the local and regional level, will advance to the $250,000 IHRA Summit SuperSeries finale. The Summit SuperSeries World Championships will be determined during the professional eliminations at the World Finals at North Carolina's Rockingham Dragway, October 22-25.The event will also be covered on the SPEED TV broadcast of the event.
