Long-time IHRA sportsman competitor Mark Hazelton has passed away at home in Ohio, according to son Damien.

Mark was a highly successful IHRA Super Rod competitor, having won the North Stars Division championship in 2000. He also claimed a divisional title in NHRA Super Gas in 1989. His 75 career event victories led to his finishing in the IHRA top 10 nationally three times. In addition, he earned a national event win at the Empire Nationals in Leicester, New York.

 The staff of IHRA would like to join Mark’s many friends and fellow competitors in sending prayers and condolences to the Hazelton family.
