After another record setting year the nation’s largest and most exciting one night only drag racing thrill show is back for another action-packed season with a 14-race tour throughout the southeast United States.

Beginning March 27 in Texas and ending in early October at beautiful Palm Beach International Raceway the 2010 Thunder Jam schedule includes four new stops in Alabama, Virginia and Florida.

“We had a tremendous year in 2009 and look forward to even greater things this year,” said Jim Marchyshyn, Thunder Jam Operations Manager. “We have some great tracks returning and a couple new facilities that are looking like pretty big Thunder Jam destinations.  The quality of our tracks and venues improves every year and  I can’t wait to get this season started.”

The 2010 Thunder Jam season begins March 27 at Edinburg International Racetrack in South Texas before heading on a three-race stretch throughout the state of Alabama. Beginning April 10 in Montgomery the Thunder Jam series will also make stops in Mobile on April 17 and Birmingham on April 24.

June will present the busiest portion of the schedule with four stops ranging from Louisiana to West Virginia. Thunder Jam’s busiest month will kick-off at Thunder Valley Raceway in Oklahoma City June 5 before traveling to Kansas City, Mo. on June 12. The series will then head north to Charleston, W.Va. at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park June 19 before returning south to State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge June 26.

Thunder Jam’s biggest race of the season will take place July 10 at Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, OK and finish the month at Virginia Motorsports Park, Richmond, VA.

The second half of the schedule will feature the classic Jet  and Pro Mod show “The Clash of the Carolina Titans” at Farmington Dragway in Winston Salem, N.C. August 7 and a stop at Carolina Dragway, Jackson, SC, August 21st.

Thunder Jam will then close out the 2010 season with two stops in Florida beginning at Immokalee Regional Raceway in Ft. Myers, Fla. on October 2 and ending at Palm Beach International Raceway on October 9.

The 14-race schedule will once again feature the thrills fans have come to expect including jet vehicles, wheelstanders, outlaw racing and other jaw-dropping exhibition acts. Don’t miss a chance to be a part of the fun in 2010!
