IHRA Welcomes Veteran Jet Car Pilot Dave Modder as The New Jet Vehicle Inspector

Dave started working with jet cars in 1993. He became owner/driver of the Dragon's Fyre jet dragster in 1998 and launched the Dragon's Fyre 1940 Ford jet truck in 2012.  Dave has a 100% run completion record and a perfect safety record as well. Between the dragster and truck Dave has over 800 passes in jet powered vehicles.

Dave retired from American Eagle airlines this past April after 20 years of service. He was involved with the ALPA (Air Line Pilots Association) Air Safety committee and was an accident/incident investigator for ALPA, working closely with the NTSB and FAA. In addition to being an Airline Transport rated pilot Dave is also a FAA certified Airframe and Power plant Technician, qualified to work on all types of aircraft engines as well as aircraft structures.

Dave has over 13,000 hours of flying time and has been a pilot/mechanic for over 30 years. He is currently a Senior Captain for a company in Northern Illinois. He is also a Firefighter for Town of Randall in Kenosha County.
