“Lake Cumberland is a picturesque facility with a lot of excited, dedicated racers who are looking forward to being a part of IHRA,” said Phil Gingerich, IHRA Director of Track Development. “The track will be a great addition to the IHRA family and gives us a presence in the western end of Kentucky, something we haven’t had before. We look forward to working with the track and developing a strong relationship for the future.”

Lake Cumberland Dragway is an eighth-mile track with an all-concrete track with a newer, racer-friendly surface. The track hosts regular bracket and gamblers nights, in addition to monthly Pro Modified racing and additional major events throughout the year.

With the addition of Lake Cumberland Dragway, the IHRA now sanctions 105 tracks in 28 states in the United States plus facilities in Canada, New Zealand, Aruba and the Bahamas.
