KINGS MTN. N.C. (April 13, 2015):  The recent tragedy which took the life of multi-time Top Sportsman World Champion, Ronnie Davis, and critically injured longtime drag racing journalist, Ian Tocher, has rocked the heart of the drag racing community. Davis succumbed to injuries on Sunday, April 10, after a violent top end crash during the last qualifying session at the PDRA Spring Nationals on Saturday, April 9. The car made contact with Tocher during the crash, as he was photographing the event. Tocher is being treated for injuries at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.

In order to help cover medical costs for Davis and “Bridge the Gap” while Tocher is sidelined for recovery, God Speed Ministry has opened donation accounts for each gentleman. One hundred percent of donations to those accounts will go directly to their needs.

To donate to Tocher’s medical and other expenses follow this link: IAN TOCHER.

To help the Davis family cover his medical expenses use the following link: RONNIE DAVIS.

To give where most needed use the general BRIDGE THE GAP Fund.

All donation links are also available at www.godspeedministry.com. God Speed Ministry takes no fees and one hundred percent of donations to the Bridge the Gap Fund go directly to the individuals in need. So far the racing community has helped several individuals through God Speed Ministry’s Bridge the Gap Fund with donations upwards of $50,000 distributed in the last several years. All donations are also tax deductible and donors will receive a tax statement at the end of the year.

Prognosis for Tocher is very promising and has already been deemed miracle status.
