HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — Historic Great Lakes Dragaway remains one of the busiest drag strips in the world.

The track, the oldest continually operating purpose-built drag strip in the country is gearing up for a monster schedule in 2023. Track operators Randy Henning and Marcel Kuper are longtime veterans, but still have the energy of men half their age.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — Kentucky Dragway is celebrating its 60th anniversary in a big way with a huge schedule of events.

Aaron Sipple and his wife, Carrie, are current owners of the IHRA-member track, which first opened in 1963. This season offers a great chance to honor those who came before them and offer an exciting program of races to those competing now.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — The International Hot Rod Association has named Doug Foley Jr. as the IHRA Eastern Division Director.

Foley, who will also be overseeing the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular events, brings a lifetime of experience to the role. The son of IHRA Top Fuel legend Doug Foley was literally two months old his first time at the race track. Growing up in the sport, Foley Jr. first competed in the Junior Dragster ranks at eight years old.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — One International Hot Rod Association division was bursting at the seams with the recent addition of tracks in the Southeast.

As a result of that huge growth over recent months, a new region has been formed with IHRA Division 8 (South) consisting of tracks from Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — There’s a different feel at KD Motorsports Park thanks to “The Hill.”

The South Webster, Ohio track first opened in 1989, an 1/8-mile track with a unique characteristic of a big hill at the end of the shutdown area. It intimidates a lot of newcomers although they learn that Pro Stockers, Jet Cars and all kinds of racing machines have gone up the hill.

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — BME Photography continues to lead the pack when it comes to capturing the biggest moments in drag racing.

The Clearwater, Florida company, led by legendary shooter Bryan Epps, will continue to be the official on-site photographer for the International Hot Rod Association’s major events in 2023.
