Little River Dragway in Texas had a strong showing during the Junior Dragster Team Finals, finishing first, fourth and eighth with its three-team lineup. Host team State Capitol Raceway wasn’t far behind, with its teams finishing second, third and seventh. Pine Valley Raceway had one team in fourth place, while Texas Raceway finished fifth and ninth with its two teams. Individually, Little River Dragway Team 1 won the team championship by one point over State Capitol Raceway Team 1.

In individual competition, Boyd Hightower, Conner Rivers and Logan Abernathy were the big winners of the weekend, taking wins during the Main Event competition.

Hightower, from Little River Dragway, defeated State Capitol Raceway’s Alyssa Hickey to take the Masters win, while Rivers (Pine Valley Raceway) defeated Bubba Fontenot of Pine Valley Raceway in the Advanced category and Abernathy (Little River Dragway) defeated Jacob Hickey of State Capitol Raceway to take the Beginner category championship.
