This year, Nitro Jam returns to the desert with its usual array of thrilling professional classes with one more extra class thrown into the mix – the Arizona debut of Pro Fuel Dragsters.
These 100-percent nitro-powered dragsters are one of the most innovative and exciting classes in the sport today. With more nitro in the tank, you can literally hear, feel and smell the power that Pro Fuel Dragsters create when they power down the quarter-mile at speeds approaching 300 miles per hour.
Series champion Bill Evans in his wild pirate-themed “Black Pearl” machine will lead the new class into the March 23-24 Arizona Nitro Jam, with several heavy hitters on his tail. The most recent race winner Cherissa Smallwood, a mother of two and driver of the “Nitro and Lace” dragster, will bring her white and pink machine to the staging lanes against the likes of Robin Samsel in “Predator” and Los Angeles native Johnny Ahten. The quartet of drivers have combined to win over a dozen races over the past two years and will be looking to continue that streak at the second annual Arizona Nitro Jam.
In addition to watching these very fast dragsters rocket down the track, fans can also enter the pits, meet the drivers and even sign one of the dragsters before it hits the track later that night.
And all of this will be in addition to three other nitro classes in AMSOIL Prostalgia™ Nitro Funny Car, Fuel Altered and Nitro Harley and a full weekend of entertainment including the 30,000 horsepower Shockwave jet semi, the battle of the jet trains and more.
Tickets are just $20 for adults if purchased in advance and just $10 for children to see the most exciting nitro showcase Arizona will see all year. For more information visit www.nitrojam.com .
