MOSER Takes “AXLE MANIA” Into the Future with a New Format and 3 Year Commitment

IHRA is proud to announce that Moser Engineering has signed a three year commitment to continue the “Moser Axle Mania” program. Moser has always been a huge advocate of the sportsman racer. They are one of the few companies that design components specifically for the sportsman racer. No other sportsman program offers a $51,000 purse with $22,500 of it going to the winner!

New for 2007 is the way racers will qualify for the program. Those wishing to qualify for the 2008 Moser Axle Mania race will now earn points at the Summit Pro-Am level only. In the past racers would earn points at the national event level. This limited the amount of racers eligible for the program to those that maxed out their national event claims. With the new format the program is now available to many more competitors. To be eligible all a competitor has to do is buy the product, sign up at a Summit Pro-Am event, and run the required decals. That’s it!

“This program was the first of its kind in modern day IHRA and its one of the most important programs we have for sportsman racers,” IHRA Vice President of Race Operations Skooter Peaco said. “Taking this program directly to the Summit Pro-Am tour level is a great way to get more racers involved in a very cost effective fashion. This program is a very big deal with our sportsman racers not just because of the money, but because of all the things the Moser family does to bring life to the program. From the reserved parking spots, the racer and crew hospitality, the feature on SPEED, and the special awards and recognition these qualifiers get is unbelievable. I guarantee you every sportsman racer will be watching this program closely when it is run at US131 this season, wishing they were in it.”
