Tuesday, 02 December 2014

Southwestern International Raceway in Arizona and Immokalee Regional Raceway in Florida will open the 2015 IHRA racing season with a huge weekend of competition, February 6-8.

Immokalee Regional Raceway will once again host the first major Summit Racing Pro-Am Tour event of the season, as track owner Ralph Hester and the Immokalee staff greet racers from across the United States during the early-season test at the south Florida track. Immokalee Regional Raceway will hos two Wild Card points-claiming events on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8.

That same weekend, 2,000 miles west in Arizona, Southwestern International Raceway will officially kickoff the 2015 Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series season with the first race under the new national event structure. While the facility has previously hosted select IHRA touring classes and bracket classes, this season will mark the first time the track in Tucson, Arizona will host a full IHRA national event.

The IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series’ Southwestern Nationals at Southwestern International Raceway will feature a single points-claiming Wild Card race for all IHRA Pro-Am Tour competitors. The single Wild Card race will take place on Saturday, February 7 and will count as an in-division claim for all racers in attendance.

Both races will be broadcast live via IHRA’s online race feed.
