Jason Parker Sweeps Good Vibrations Top Dragster At President’s Cup Nationals Fueled By Sunoco

Top Dragster competitor Jason Parker pulled off a double victory in Good Vibrations Top Dragster action in the Summit Pro-Am Tour portion of the President’s Cup Nationals at Maryland International Raceway over the weekend. 

Parker, from Hughesville Maryland, defeated Jackson South Carolina’s Shelby Miles in both the Saturday and Sunday final rounds. 

Also capturing double victories were Lexington South Carolina’s Zach Pennington in Junior Master and local competitor Bristen Mister from Mechanicsville Maryland in Junior Advanced.

In Jiffy-tite Quick Rod action, Jerron Settles just missed the sweep of the class.  Settles captured the win Saturday by taking out Kevin Roof in the finals but just missed the double by falling to Mitchell Harkey on a double breakout in Sunday’s final round. 

Doug Lynden had a standout weekend in Jiffy-tite Super Rod.  Lynden showed up in both Saturday and Sunday’s final rounds but was runner-up in both Craig Porter on Saturday and Dale Koncen on Sunday.
