Get on the fast track to a championship at the Immokalee Wild Card weekend February 1-3

Monday, 14 January 2013
The great thing about competing at the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am presented by AMSOIL season opener next month at Immokalee Regional Raceway – other than the great racing, warm weather and Ralph Hester’s world famous southern cooking – is the chance to get your championship aspirations off to an early start.
With all championship hopes now solely going through the Summit Pro-Am Tour and more money and more prestige on the line than ever before, racers in all divisions are welcome at the famed southern Florida track February 1-3 to compete for points and prize money with an in-division claim available for all racers in attendance regardless of division claimed.

Every year racers from all regions throughout the country attend the Pro-Am at Immokalee Regional Raceway to get their season off to an early start. And this year that early start takes on even more meaning as the road to a World Championship now goes squarely through the Pro-Am Tour. No longer can racers earn a spot in the year-end Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions presented by AMSOIL by winning one race, meaning the Pro-Am is now the true home to IHRA championship racing.

Throughout the years racers have traveled from as far away as Delaware, Michigan, Indiana, the Carolinas, Pennsylvania and even Canada to participate at the track located in Immokalee, Florida.

This year’s Pro-Am season opener will once again be a double points meet with two separate races on Saturday and Sunday capped off with a huge racer appreciation gala Saturday night at the Seminole Casino at the Seminole Casino Racer Party.

The race weekend will get underway on Friday, February 1 with a test and tune scheduled from 5-10 p.m. Race one will take place on Saturday, February 2 beginning at 9 a.m. with time trials and race two will take place on Sunday, February 3 beginning at 9 a.m.
