Friday, 11 September 2015

Just like little Charlie in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, John Enno, Cory Heckenlaible and Darien Legge Jr. found the golden ticket that gains them entry into the Summit Super Series World Championships through the wild card drawing that was recently completed.

The Summit Super Series wild card drawing is held annually for the IHRA Summit Super Series track champions that participate at IHRA member tracks located in regions that can’t participate in Summit Team Finals events.  John Enno (Top ET) will be carrying the flag for Magic City International Dragway in Minot, North Dakota.  Cory Heckenlaible (Mod ET) will be representing Thunder Valley Dragways in Marion South Dakota while Darien Legge (Juniors) will be coming all the way from Newfoundland to represent Eastbound International Dragway.

These track champions, along with Summit Super Series track champions from across North America, will race each other in head-to-head competition at Memphis International Raceway October 9-10 as the conclusion to the $200,000 Summit Super Series.  Over 7,000 racers began the season with hopes of being the Summit Super Series World Champion and it will all come down to Memphis to see who is the best in North America.

The most spectacular sportsman racing program in the world has a host of cash and awards that await the final field of 16 races in each category that can be found here:  http://www.ihra.com/superseries-prizes
