FERRIS, TX — Xtreme Raceway Park is the IHRA Division 4 (Renegades) Summit Team Finals champion for the third straight year.

The host track won 67-43 over runner-up Edinburg Motorsports Park. Paris Dragstrip was one point behind in third. Wichita Raceway Park, Little River Dragway, Penwell Knights Raceway, Amarillo Dragway and Albuquerque Dragway also had teams which competed.

FERRIS, TX — Five racers had star performances in the Lone Star State on Friday evening with their Gamblers wins at the IHRA Division 4 (Renegades) Summit Team Finals.

Peeps Pennington (Box), Billy Simpson (No Box), Billy Janousek (Sportsman), David Baugh (Motorcycle) and Makenzie Roberts (Junior Dragster) took home the wins in their respective classes at Xtreme Raceway Park.

The International Hot Rod Association wants our racers, member tracks and all others affected by the devastating Hurricane Helene to know they’re in our hearts and prayers.

It’s one of the most destructive storms in American history with damage over the entire state of Florida and thousands of miles inland in the Carolinas, Tennessee and Kentucky since making landfall. Major highways, including interstates, have been closed. It obviously affects many of our track owners, staffs, racers and their families.

MOROCCO, IN — The IHRA Summit Team Finals are a time of fun fellowship as well as the great racing action.

Drivers, crews and teams were honored with special awards recently at the IHRA Division 5 (Thunder) Summit Team Finals at US41 Dragstrip. Team operators even joined in the fun with their own race. Below are the special awards winners:

SALEM, OH — A handful of racers picked up Ironman trophies at the IHRA Division 3 (North Stars) Summit Team Finals Race of Champions at Quaker City Motorsports Park.

Timmy Roe (Top), Jake Pataki (Mod), Doug Thompson (Sportsman), Chris Sulkowski (Motorcycle) and Brayden Baehr (Junior Dragster) earned victories in their respective classes.

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS — Gleason Raceway Park won its first ever IHRA Division 2 Summit Team Finals title last Saturday night at Holly Springs Motorsports.

Division 2 (Heat Wave) features a huge group of tracks: Holly Springs Motorsports, Beacon Dragway, River Road Raceway, Music City Raceway, Centerville Dragway, Gleason Raceway Park, Ozark Raceway Park, State Capitol Raceway, Newport Raceway, Ethridge Motorsports Park, Skelton Raceway, Jackson Dragway and Bonne Terre Drag Strip. 

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS — Five racers walked away with Gamblers victories at the IHRA Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals at Holly Springs Motorsports.

Buddy Ferrell (Box), Taylor Profahl (No Box), James Roger (Sportsman), Jonah Allen (Motorcycle) and Kaylee Gray (Junior Dragster) were victories in their endeavors.

DARLINGTON, SC — The IHRA Division 9 (Raiders) Summit Team Finals has been rescheduled for Oct. 3-5 and moved back to Darlington Dragway due to approaching weather over the weekend in the Carolinas.

It was announced in June if the races needed to be postponed, they would move to Darlington on the Oct. 3-5 weekend.

MOROCCO, IN — For the second time in history, Muncie Dragway is an IHRA Summit Team Finals champion.

The historic Indiana track won 67-59 over host track US41 Dragstrip in the IHRA Division 5 (Thunder) Finals. Wisconsin International Raceway, Midstate Dragway, Bunker Hill Dragstrip, I57 Dragstrip and Great Lakes Dragaway also had teams who competed.

SALEM, OH — Quaker City Motorsports Park raced to its third straight IHRA Division 3 (North Stars) Summit Team Finals championship on Saturday night.

The home track scored a 64.5 to 60 victory over runner-up Dragway 42. Kil-Kare Raceway, Kuhnle Motorsports Park, Pacemakers Outlaws Motorsports Park and Kentucky Dragway also had racers who competed.
