PADUCAH, KY — Beacon Dragway is bringing another great event to the Bluegrass State with the IHRA Ironman Classic on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Super Pro and No Box classes will each feature $1,500-to-win races. There are $500 winner’s purses for the Sportsman and Junior Dragster classes. The prestigious Ironman trophies will be awarded to all four class winners.

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO — The schedule is jam-packed this weekend with IHRA Summit Team Finals scheduled for Division 2 (Heat Wave), Division 3 (North Stars) and Division 5 (Thunder).

The Division 3 and Division 5 races were previously scheduled, while the Division 2 races had to be moved after being postponed by weather last weekend.

MUNCIE, IN — Muncie Dragway has a tradition of bringing great events to its racers.

Recently, the historic Indiana track hosted the IHRA Ironman Classic along with its World Products racing program. Ford’s Transmission LTD allowed the track to give increased payouts.

HARVEST, AL — Racers are getting ready to launch as Rocket City Dragway will host the 2024 International Hot Rod Association Division 8 (South) Summit Team Finals on October 3-5.

Alabama International Dragway is the defending 2023 Division 8 Summit Team Finals champion. Five classes — Top ET (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycles and Junior Dragsters as well as the Teen Championship — will be contested at the Division 8 Summit Team Finals. 

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals have been rescheduled for Sept. 19-21 at Holly Springs Motorsports.

Weather from Hurricane Francine caused the tough decision to postpone the race. IHRA Division 2 Director Cody Pollage worked diligently with operators from all the D2 member tracks to come up with the make-up date. Pollage communicated for hours with the different track operators. We appreciate Cody and all of them for working hard to make sure the racers get to experience the IHRA Summit Team Finals.

MOROCCO, IN — There has been a change to the IHRA Division 5 (Thunder) Summit Team Finals at US41 Dragstrip with no on-track activity scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19.

The rest of the weekend schedule remains the same with gates opening at 8 a.m. on Friday, followed by an open time trial starting at 9 a.m. There are Gamblers races following the time trial and a Golf Cart / Pit Bike race to end the on-track action. 

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 2 (Heat Wave) Summit Team Finals have been canceled for the weekend due to massive rainfall and a fluctuating forecast moving forward.

IHRA Division 2 Director Cody Pollage is currently talking to each of the participating tracks on a reschedule date that makes sense to all involved.

ODESSA, TX — The IHRA Ironman Classic is coming to the Lone Star State this weekend.

Penwell Knights Raceway at Caprock Motorplex, called the Permian Basin’s premier drag racing facility, is hosting the race Saturday where drivers will contend for the prestigious Ironman trophies and the Acme Racing track championship belts.

JULIAN, NC — Nothing could be finer than racing for a bracket final in Carolina as the IHRA Division 9 (Raiders) Summit Team Finals take place at Piedmont Dragway on September 26-28, 2024.

Piedmont Dragway, nicknamed “The Doorslammer Capital of the World,” has a rich history dating back to 1957. The drag strip just 20 miles from Greensboro also has a long commitment to the IHRA Summit SuperSeries, the most prestigious national championship in bracket drag racing.
