ODESSA, Texas — Mikel McQueen doubled up with both Box and No Box victories at IHRA Summit SuperSeries points races at Penwell Knights Raceway last weekend.

McQueen had solid starts in both classes. His .014 reaction time gave him an early advantage over Mason Bomar in the Box final. His winning run of 5.046 seconds at 129.68 mph against a 5.03 dial-in. He then used a .015 start in No Box as final-round opponent Stan Hammond triggered the red light.

A new IHRA has chosen three of its staple categories, bona fide trendsetters, to showcase the return of the series purchased by Darryl Cuttell.

IHRA OUTLAW NITRO SERIES SCHEDULE

After years of anticipation, fans will finally experience the explosive return of one of drag racing’s most electrifying series. It all begins July 9–12 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, where Nitro flames, roaring horsepower, and side-by-side battles will light up the track.

XENIA, Ohio — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is pleased to announce the purchase of Kil-Kare Raceway has become final.

It is a multi-purpose facility with rich history for both the drag strip and oval track. The drag strip boasts a strong IHRA Summit SuperSeries program and even hosted an IHRA Sportsman Spectacular in 2024.
