Submitted by tylers on Thu, 05/22/2025 - 20:14 PADUCAH, Ky. — Beacon Dragway remembers those who have sacrificed everything as well as a beloved inspirational racer with the Teri Syers Memorial Bracket Race on Monday, May 26. The Memorial Day race features guaranteed $2,000-to-win Super Pro and No Box races. There’s a $1,000 guaranteed purse for the Sportsman class winner. Syers, who died in January, was an inspiration to those who knew her. She was a champion racer despite battling cancer. Beacon Dragway was one of three drag strips Syers considered a home track. She won back-to-back Sportsman championships at I57 Dragstrip in 2023-04, and competed at Skelton Raceway. In addition, Syers raced her silver Chevy S-10 pickup at the IHRA Summit Team Finals and IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Gates open at 8 a.m. with open time trails at 9 a.m. and official time trial at 11 a.m. Eliminations will follow. Spectator admission is $10 with kids 12-under admitted free. Check out the Beacon Dragway Facebook page for more updates and other great events like Index racing on Friday night. The Beacon Bottom Bulb Bash is just weeks away, June 13-15, with $10,000-to-win races on Saturday and Sunday. Tags Beacon Dragway
