HOLLY SPRINGS, Ms. — Talk about some heavy hitters winning in IHRA Summit SuperSeries action at Holly Springs Motorsports Park.

Cliff Hubbard was congratulated by his brother-in-law, six-time IHRA Top Fuel World Champion Clay Millican, after winning Sunday’s Super Pro race at Holly Springs Motorsports Park. Hubbard, whose wife Leigh is also a champion racer, drove his dragster to the win over runner-up David Elam.

He wasn’t the only high-profile winner. Tim Pace, the 2021 IHRA Summit SuperSeries Mod World Champion, drove his familiar blue Mustang to the No Box win over the always-tough John Burleson.

Brad Davis, a fierce competitor in his own right, was the Sportsman winner with Matt Anderson his final-round opponent. Kaleb Fesmire rounded out the Sunday winners in Junior Dragster over Austin Bobo.

While those guys got the attention Sunday, it was Buddy Ferrell who raced his red Camaro to the Super Pro win on Saturday. With his final-round win over David Smith, he extended his huge lead in the point standings.

Blake Sanders drove his black Chevy S-10 pickup to the No Box victory after taking on the heavy task of facing Pace in the final round. Davis started Saturday with a win over Kamden Greene to begin his weekend sweep in Sportsman.

Vayda Ballentine was the best in Junior Dragsters, picking up the final-round win over Rilee Gately. The action actually started Friday night with a 32-car shootout which saw Brian Hannan take the win over Jesse Bobo.

Davis extended his track points lead with his sweep, while David Ciarloni heads up the No Box standings and Mason Glidewell is first in Junior Dragster.

More incredible racing is coming up at Holly Springs including the Mulligans Wild race on June 12-15 with an $11,111-to-win purse in the Super Pro class. Check out the track’s Facebook page for this and more action as well as great opportunities to test and tune.
