IHRA World Champion Johnson has Plenty to Celebrate at Music City

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Jordan Johnson keeps piling up the big victories.

The defending IHRA Summit SuperSeries Sportsman World Champion doubled up again Tuesday at Music City Raceway.

Johnson won the Trophy Stock and Super Street races at the Nashville-area track.

At another recent Music City race, he won the Texas Roadhouse Sportsman race over final-round opponent Kitty Martin. Then, he doubled up with a $1,000-to-win Pro (No Box) victory over Justin Conatser.

Milan Dragway Renamed Darana Dragway Following Purchase by IHRA Owner Darryl Cuttell

MILAN, MI — A new era of drag racing is set to launch in Southeast Michigan as Milan Dragway officially becomes Darana Dragway, following its recent acquisition by Darryl Cuttell, owner of the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). 

This weekend, the newly renamed facility will host a highly anticipated stop on the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series, marking a bold and exciting chapter for the beloved track.

Don Garlits Celebrates His 93 ½ Birthday with a Sweet Surprise

Drag racing icon Don "Big Daddy" Garlits got a surprise celebration for his 93 ½ birthday - an inside joke that was started by Ted Wolf! Wolf, who used to compete against Garlits in Top Fuel in the ‘70s, started celebrating half birthdays when his father turned 90 1/2. It’s a tradition that he’s kept up until this day, and he shared the story with IHRA owner Darryl Cuttel at the season opener at Darana Raceway - Hebron.

Quaker City Motorsports Park to Host IHRA Sportsman Spectacular in July

SALEM, Ohio — Quaker City Motorsports Park will host the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular this Saturday, July 19.

Racers in Top (Box), Mod (No Box), Sportsman, Motorcycle and Junior Dragster classes will compete for prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies and the very popular oversized championship checks.

They can gain entry to the 2025 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals by winning Saturday’s main event.

Pro-Am Finals Close Out Huge Weekend at IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Opener

HEBRON, Ohio — Pro-Am final rounds capped off an amazing weekend at the debut of the new IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Raceway.

The races were live streamed on IHRA.tv via YouTube.

Jimmy Fallon finished off a huge week for himself in Top Sportsman with a 6.393-second winning run in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Final-round opponent Chris Osborn finished in 6.686 seconds. Fallon also enjoyed a .023 to .028 advantage at the starting tree.

Palmer, McIntire and Others Make History at IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Opener

HEBRON, Ohio — Scott Palmer and Mike McIntire made history as the first Top Fuel and Funny Car winners in the new IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Raceway.

Both of them earned the $50,000 prize and the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophies as the races at the beautiful Ohio track were live streamed on IHRA.TV.

Palmer, Baldwin, Worsham, McIntire Advance to IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Finals

HEBRON, Ohio — Scott Palmer and Krista Baldwin advanced to the Top Fuel final on Saturday night at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series season opener at Darana Raceway.

A long rain delay halted action earlier in the day meant final rounds will be contested Sunday. Action fires up at 10 a.m. with the races live streamed on IHRA.TV.

Palmer, the No. 1 qualifier, defeated Chuck Loftin in the quarterfinal, and then defeated veteran Doug Foley in the semifinal.

Palmer, McIntire Rocket to Top of Friday IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Qualifying

HEBRON, Ohio — Scott Palmer and Mike McIntire were the No. 1 qualifiers in the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series debut Friday night at Darana Raceway.

Palmer posted quick time in Top Fuel with a 3.955-second elapsed time at 267.37 mph with the event streamed live on IHRA.TV. He will face No. 8 Chuck Loftin in the first round of eliminations.
