HEBRON, Ohio — Scott Palmer and Mike McIntire were the No. 1 qualifiers in the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series debut Friday night at Darana Raceway.

Palmer posted quick time in Top Fuel with a 3.955-second elapsed time at 267.37 mph with the event streamed live on IHRA.TV. He will face No. 8 Chuck Loftin in the first round of eliminations.

Krista Baldwin was No. 2 qualifier at 4.539 seconds and 178.47 mph. She is matched up with No. 7 Mitch King. Other first-round matchups will be No. 3 Lex Joon versus No. 6 Will Smith, and No. 4 Cameron Ferre versus No. 5 Doug Foley.

McIntire rocketed to the No. 1 spot in Funny Car by making a 4.073 second pass at 309.34 mph. That pits McIntire versus Jody Austin in Saturday’s opening round of eliminations.

Terry Haddock took the No. 2 spot at 4.162 seconds and 286.44 mph. He faces No. 7 Tod Barker in round 1. A pair of other quarterfinals matchups will be No. 3 Joey Haas against former IHRA World Champion Dale Creasy Jr., and No. 4 Jack Wyatt racing another IHRA World Champion in No. 5 Del Worsham.

Jason Lee led Pro Mod qualifying with a run at 3.675 seconds and 196.13 mph. Frankie “Mad Man” Taylor was second quickest at 3.699 seconds. No. 3 qualifier Mike DiDomenico posted the fastest speed at 203.12 mph.

Derrick Reese took the No. 1 spot in Pro Stock at 4.299 seconds and 162.92 mph. Larry Morgan was second quickest at 4.305 seconds and 161.65 mph.

Bob Malloy had quick time in Top Fuel Harley with a 5.398-second pass at 190.38 mph. No. 2 qualifier Ryan Peery had the top speed of the day at 200.20 mph. Jay Turner, a legendary bike rider, qualified third.

Dale Brinsfeld led Pro Nitrous at 3.750 seconds and 202.48 mph, while No. 2 Tony Wilson had a slightly higher speed at 202.67 mph.

The Chevrolets of Jeremy Huffman and Dwayne Rice bolted to the 1-2 positions in Mountain Motor Pro Stock. Huffman went down the track in 4.129 seconds at 174.57 mph. Rice, who was in the left lane, posted a 4.138-second run at 172.63 mph.

Snowmobile saw Rob Lowe Jr. go to the top of the chart with a 4.689-second pass at 160.08 mph. Anthony Mini was second on the sleds at 4.689 seconds and 159.17 mph.

Sean Bellemeur posted both quick time and fast speed in Top Alcohol Funny Car with a 5.579-second pass at 264.60 mph. Ray Drew qualified second at 5.602 seconds and 252.71 mph.

Megan Lingner had the fastest dragster on the property when she went 5.233 seconds at 274.66 mph to lead Top Alcohol Dragster qualifying. Earl Nichols was next at 5.296 seconds and 265.59 mph.
