Eight Winners Emerge with ROC, Friday Gamblers Victories at IHRA Division 9 Finals

UNION, S.C. — Eight different drivers earned victories in the Race of Champions and Friday Gamblers at the IHRA Division 9 (Raiders) Team Finals at Union County Dragway.

It’s part of what makes the different IHRA Team Finals special, with these fun-filled competitions taking place in addition to the main events.

Adam Buchanan scored the Top (Box) victory in the Race of Champions with Jeff Bowman as his final-round foe. Kevin Blevins made his way through Mod (No Box) eliminations to beat David Mason in the final round.

Phillip Lathan added his name to the list of winners in Sportsman with his final-round triumph over Ted Hudson. Charizma Jones was the TCR victor. It was a great weekend for her as she would later capture the Junior Dragster main event. Holden Raper finished second to her in the TCR race.

Ryan Bell doubled up with Junior Dragster wins in the Race of Champions and Friday Gamblers. He won the Race of Champions with Jadyn Price posting a runner-up finish.

FRIDAY GAMBLERS
Bruce Bickerton vanquished Trey Deese in the Top (Box) final to headline the Friday Gamblers races. Cody Oxner stood in the winner’s circle in Mod (No Box) with Evan Sansenbaugher taking runner-up honors.

Ralph Deloach was the Sportsman winner, as Holder Raper also advanced to the final round. Bell had the sound of a winner with his victory over Maddie Winkle to cap off a competitive Junior Dragster race.
