Stacy Compton Named General Manager of Pulaski County Motorsports Park

FAIRFIELD, OH – February 24, 2026 — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) proudly announces that Stacy Compton has been appointed General Manager of Pulaski County Motorsports Park, the historic Virginia racing facility formerly known as Motor Mile Speedway.

A native of Hurt, Virginia, Compton built his racing career on short tracks across the Commonwealth before advancing to NASCAR’s national stage. He competed in the Cup, Xfinity (Busch), and Craftsman Truck Series, earning two Truck Series victories, 65 top -10 finishes, a fourth-place championship points finish in 1999, and the 1998 Most Popular Driver award. Following his driving career, Compton founded Turn One Racing to mentor and develop young drivers, worked as a NASCAR television analyst, and later built a successful real estate business in Virginia.

As General Manager, Compton will oversee day-to-day operations, event execution, racer relations, facility development, and community engagement as Pulaski County Motorsports Park enters a new era under IHRA leadership.

“Stacy understands grassroots racing from the driver’s seat to the business side,” said Darryl Cuttell, Owner of IHRA. “His experience, leadership, and Virginia roots make him the right person to guide this facility forward.”

Pulaski County Motorsports Park will serve as a cornerstone venue for the new IHRA Stock Car Series, along with hosting drag racing, regional programs, and community-centered events throughout the 2026 season.
