Lindner, who is no stranger to Midwest drag racing operations, is ready for the challenge. “I am very excited to be a part of such a unique opportunity and see a lot of potential for growth from a solid base” said Lindner. Married to wife Michele with five children from ages 10 to 17, Lindner has been in racing since 1994 including having the pleasure of managing at the Thunder Valley Raceways in South Dakota. One opportunity Lindner is excited about includes expanding the number of OREC shareholders as he understands that is the key in continuing to upgrade the facility. “We have hundreds of shares available for purchase into the facility which is not saddled with debt, he continued, so if you are looking to invest, this is one heck of an opportunity I would be happy to discuss.” The Onawa Racing and Events Complex, Onawa, Iowa completed the inaugural season of operation in 2018 with many successful events. Brian Wood (Top), Cory Heckenliable (Mod) and Autumn Hansen (Junior Dragster) put their names in the history books as the first IHRA Summit SuperSeries winners at the track. Plans are underway for 2019 that include facility improvements, returning and new events. The facility includes an IHRA 1/8-mile drag race track is located off Interstate 29 in Onawa, Iowa. The idea for a drag racing track and event center came from a group of community leaders and business owners searching for an alternative uses for the previously under-used municipal airport.
