TUCSON, Ariz. – The International Hot Rod Association’s (IHRA) Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series returns to Southwestern International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz. on March 21-22 for the IHRA Southwestern Nationals presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports.

The Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL doubleheader at Pine Valley Raceway has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.

Select divisions of the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Amsoil will receive an added special award to the divisional weekends on behalf of Armor Coat Ceramic Header Coatings. Winning teams will also receive a $50 credit toward a complete header coating and customized winning team t-shirts.

It is the single biggest IHRA drag racing event in the United States and this year, the San Antonio Nationals presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports at San Antonio Raceway are bigger than ever before.

When it comes to the nostalgia Nitro Funny Car circuit, one name has stood out from the crowd over the past half-decade in terms of success, big wins and big names. And that name is none other than Tim Boychuk.

Ever wonder what it takes to operate a professional racing team? How about the intricacies of designing, engineering and fabricating a jet engine powered race car? At every IHRA Nitro Jam event in 2014, fans will see all of that and more through a unique, interactive experience within the Larsen Motorsports Nitro Jam pit area.  

The 2014 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 4 season gets underway April 11-13 at State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge, La. for the first of four events in the division. The weekend will feature two complete races. Racing action will get underway on Friday with a test and tune followed by two separate races Saturday and Sunday.

If you are looking for some great racing during the early part of the 2014 season, then clear your calendars because the months of March and April are a busy one for the racers of the International Hot Rod Association. Beginning next weekend, the series shifts into high gear with the start of the Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series, Sonic Rush Tour and the first races in Divisions 1, 4 and 9 on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL.

It was a busy weekend at Carolina Dragway this past Saturday and Sunday as car counts were up for the second race in a row and online viewership of the live broadcast continued to climb for the second race on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL.

In 2011 the International Hot Rod Association made its much-anticipated debut at Tucson’s historical Southwestern International Raceway with an exciting entertainment-based show highlighting IHRA’s unique nitro-powered lineup.
