They will also be receiving IHRA Summit SuperSeries championship rings. All of them will be reminders of the day they beat the best-of-the-best, champions across North America. Also, congratulations to the runner-up finishers — Joe Soucek Jr. (Top), Jake Howard (Mod), Wesley Buchanan (Sportsman), Baley Miles (Motorcycle) and Will Willard (Junior) — as it’s quite an accomplishment to make it to the final round of eliminations.
Beyond that, it’s the camaraderie amongst everyone that make it such a special event. Racers comment how much they enjoy it, whether they win it all or are eliminated early. Brian Wood, the IHRA Summit SuperSeries motorcycle track champion from Humboldt County Dragway in Iowa, talked about the great fellowship shared.
“The environment is great here. I’ve made friends from all over,” Wood said. “I’ve been talking to people from North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, just people from all over. There are people from states all over the country represented at this deal.”
Holly Springs Motorsports track manager Jody Brooks and his staff were once again amazing hosts for this event. We also thank our corporate partners like Summit Racing Equipment and Strange Engineering, the IHRA TV broadcast team bringing the action live to those who couldn’t be there in person, BME Photography, the entire IHRA staff and all others who helped make it an unforgettable event.

The Racer Appreciation Party was again a big hit as the racers were able to enjoy good food and live music in addition to another great turnout for Friday’s Race of Champions.
