Sydney Dragway recently announced that the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Australia is now the preferred sanctioning body for the world class venue located at Eastern Creek in the Sydney Metropolitan area.

The $100,000 Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions is the sport's first nationwide tournament to determine the champions in each of the premier sportsman classes in IHRA competition. Debuting in 2009, the Summit Tournament of Champions has grown exponentially over the past few years and it will return to the Summit World Finals at Memphis International Raceway October 20 - 22, 2016.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 2 East teams headed to Carolina Dragway last weekend for the Summit Team Finals. Twelve teams competed for the championship title and it was the host track, Carolina Dragway, that claimed the top spot.

The list of grand prizes to the Summit SuperSeries champions at the Summit World Finals at Memphis International Raceway is growing. Three-year International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) partner, Performax Trailers, will present the 2016 Mod World Champion with a new 28-foot custom created trailer during the October 20 – 22 season finale.

The IHRA Division 2 East Summit Team Finals race weekend kicked off with two Gambler's races at Carolina Dragway. The main event eliminations and "best of" awards are yet to be determined.

In addition, rain showers have moved into the area. If the rain continues into tomorrow, the schedule will be adjusted to run all remaining events on Sunday. The possible shift in the schedule will allow racers unable to attend due to Hurricane Matthew to arrive on Sunday and participate in the main eliminations. We will keep everyone updated via the website and social media.

Trick Flow Specialties has done it again! For the last five years, they have built an engine to be given to the International Hot Rod Association’s (IHRA) Summit SuperSeries Top Class Champion as part of their prize package. This year, it’s a 572 cubic inch big-block Chevrolet engine that’s based around a Dart M engine block.

The rescheduled Division 2 East “Heat Wave" International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit Team Finals at Carolina Dragway is still scheduled as planned this weekend. All Division 2 East teams are eligible to participate and compete in several performance-based categories which include: Top ET, Modified ET, and Junior Dragster in hopes of advancing to the Summit World Finals in Memphis, Tennessee October 20 – 22.

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 2 West teams headed to Memphis International Raceway last weekend for the Summit Team Finals. Eleven teams faced off for the championship title and it was Memphis International Raceway that claimed the top spot by seven points over 2014 champions, Holly Springs Motorsports.

Maryland International Raceway (MDIR) claimed the championship during the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 1 Summit Team Finals over the weekend. The host track took the top spot by eight points over Sumerduck Dragway, followed by Capitol Raceway, Motor Mile Dragway and US 131 Dragway.

Ten teams competed at San Antonio Raceway over the weekend for the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Division 4 Summit Team Finals. The championship title came down to San Antonio Raceway and Pine Valley Raceway with Pine Valley Raceway taking the top spot in the points and winning two classes in the main event.
