Mo-Kan Dragway, an International Hot Rod Association-sanctioned race track in Asbury, Mo., has been in operation at the same location since 1962; it is the oldest continuously-operated dragstrip in Missouri.  Carl Blanton purchased the track from two of the original owners, Jim and Ron Wilbert, in 1999. Over the years Mo-Kan Dragway has been upgraded with a new timing system, improved lighting, new track surface, new tower, improved bleachers and other improvements making it arguably the premier drag strip in the state of Missouri.

With a focus on grassroots Sportsman racing, the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) has partnered with industry leader Summit Racing Equipment to produce 20 Summit Sportsman Spectacular races over 10 double-race weekends in 2018.

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Chris Black was in a state of disbelief in the moments after winning the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Mod World Championship at the Summit World Finals last weekend at Memphis International Raceway.

The Butler, Pa., driver had just driven his 1988 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with a small-block engine to the Mod victory when it all started to sink in.

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Tom Gall explained it was a long journey to win the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Top World Championship last weekend at the Summit World Finals.

The 28-year-old driver wasn’t talking about the 800-mile drive from his hometown of Beresford, S.D. to Memphis International Raceway. He was talking about the decade it took to capture the largest and most prestigious bracket racing championship in drag racing.
