D3 Team Finals to be held Oct 29-Nov 1
After careful consideration by both the host track and the IHRA, the decision has been made to move the event to the weekend of October 31st. The availability of the facility along with staffing the event from both the facility and IHRA standpoint has dictated only one viable choice.
“This has been a trying time,” said Division Director Jon O’Neal. “The bracket finals events are things that we hold near and dear to our hearts. It’s tough to have to pull the plug on an event that we know racers plan for all year. Picking a date has been a delicate endeavor but there aren’t many options left for such a late event.”
“With the necessity of running the Summit Super Series before the World Finals, one small beacon of hope came about in running an event so late in the season,” said Vice President Skooter Peaco. “We were able to relax the schedule and reduce a day on-site in order to deal with the predicted later start and end times. Hopefully this will help those deciding if they can manage the extra time off work.”
