“Piedmont Dragway and IHRA have been frantically trying to come up with a viable rescheduled date for these events ever since they rained out,” said IHRA Division Director Josh Peake. “Piedmont has a very aggressive schedule of events for the remainder of the year that are contracted out to other promoters.  The track tried to shuffle around their dates for us to get these Summit Team Finals events in, but unfortunately the agreements they have with the other people who have events coming up could not be moved.  Given the circumstances, we decided that our best bet to have these events under better conditions and to give all our racers a chance to better plan these events into their schedules was to wait until the spring.  We will have dates finalized with the track in the next few weeks and will let everyone know just as soon as possible.”
