IRG acquired SWIR in August 2013, and Alan Miller was named Interim General Manager in October 2013. His role later transitioned him into a drag racing consultant at SWIR and other IRG owned properties. Effective immediately, Miller will return to SWIR and take over as the General Manager.
Miller is an experienced drag strip operator with more than 30 years in the industry. He was formerly a track General Manager working for NHRA at their company owned tracks, has worked with Pullin Television/SPEED as Track Technical Consultant for "Pinks All Out", and has worked as a track consultant for many drag strips across the country, including Famosa Dragway in Bakersfield, California and Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR).

"Alan has the ability to relate to our racers and was key in helping us rebuild SWIR and Palm Beach International Raceway."

As the first stop on the Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series™ (NJDRS) North American Tour, the Southwestern Nationals will return to SWIR in March 2015. The IHRA recently announced that NJDRS will feature a number of additional enhancements for next season. Alan will be instrumental in scheduling the 2015 events, communicating with the local racers, and he will attend the upcoming IHRA Team Finals for Division 7 at Caprock Motorplex in a few week
