The track is located in Prince George, British Columbia, one of the most scenic parts of Western Canada. It features a 1/4-mile drag strip with a 700-foot concrete launch pad and a 5/8-mile shutdown area.
There are full concession and bathroom facilities with showers on site. It’s a great place to camp with sanitary dump and water for the racers’ convenience. There is even a small lake with a sandy beach and it’s stocked with trout.
Part of a larger motorsports facility, Nitro Motorsports Park also features mud bogs, snowmobile racing and motocross.
The IHRA Summit SuperSeries program is featured at the drag strip. John Tiegen (Top), Ted Moon (Mod) and Katie Hollingshead (Junior Dragster) won IHRA Summit SuperSeries track championships in 2019.
“I am very pleased to have our friends from the north extend their sanctioning agreement with IHRA,” said IHRA Division Director Frank Kohutek. “They have a great group of strong racers and supporters of IHRA up there.”
