IHRA Junior Dragster Profile: Chas Warpenburg

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association continues to bring attention to the great young racers across North America.

Chas Warpenburg, a 15-year-old from Rochester, Indiana, is the latest driver to be highlighted. Warpenburg is one of the top Junior racers in he Midwest, the defending champion IHRA Summit SuperSeries track champion at Bunker Hill Dragstrip.

Warpenburg, who finished runner-up at the 2023 Race of Champions, has qualified for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals multiple times. He has raced multiple tracks — US41 Motorplex, Holly Springs Motorsports and Memphis International Raceway — as well as Lucas Oil Raceway Park and US131 Motorsports Park.

Behind the wheel of a 2002 Mike Bos dragster, he’s a racer with seven years of experience. With his family deeply involved in racing, his heroes are his dad Chuck, his mom Abby and grandpa Tim. Chas loves the opportunities of meeting new people, going to the different events and the community one builds when drag racing.
