Extreme Racing Oils have taken care of all sanctioning fees for IHRA member tracks once again, meaning you pay nothing to be part of this program. Tracks can also add value by hosting an IHRA Ironman Classic. The IHRA also offers other programs like the IHRA Hot Rod Classic and IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and FuelTech.
Reaction to the news the IHRA Hot Rod Classic is returning in 2024 has been overwhelming. Fans across the country have expressed great excitement about the return of the ground-pounding Pro Mods, awesome racing for Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Quick Rod, Super Rod, Hot Rod classes and heads-up racing with Real Steel N/T. Each of these events also feature exciting 64-car shootouts for the Box and No Box classes.
For a second straight year, eligible winners of IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and FuelTech gain entry into the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals in conjunction with entering at least two other IHRA races. Current IHRA membership is required.
Member tracks without a Hot Rod Classic or Sportsman Spectacular this season, but interested in hosting one of these events in 2025, please contact your division director.
In addition to the great racing, tracks will soon be distributing tickets for a chance to win a new Ford F-150 crew cab XLT sport truck with 4-wheel drive estimated at $60,000 from Morrow Brothers Ford. The truck is being built by Ford for the IHRA with tickets sold exclusively by IHRA-member tracks.
“Events like the IHRA Hot Rod Classic and IHRA Sportsman Spectacular bring excitement to the track’s current racers and attract new ones to their facilities,” IHRA Owner and CEO Larry Jeffers said. “Then, you have the IHRA Summit SuperSeries, the truck giveaway and our team always thinking about new ways to add more value, what a great time to be an IHRA member track.”
