Mass Traction evaluated equipment and showed the Jackson Dragway staff how to adjust the different pieces to get them in the best working condition. They conducted a mini-school for a week straight where they fixed bald spots on the track, fixed the transitions through a grind and went through as many situations as possible.
The more experiences and situations they get put into, the better they’re going to get,” Mass Traction owner Brandon Mass said. “I’m excited about what the new staff can do at Jackson.”
The training included scraping 300 feet of the track surface together as a team. The staff was trained on adjusting and using the sprayers and the best traction compound.
It wasn’t just the track surface that got upgraded. New concrete walls were installed from the turnaround to the sand traps. They’ve also worked on a new pit area and put up new barricades at the far end.
All the lighting was adjusted at the facility and LED lights were installed for better vision. It’s another way which Baskin and his staff continue to show a commitment to the racers and racing community.
Jackson Dragway LLC hosts the Ford Takeover on Saturday. It’s an all-Ford powered event with a laid back atmosphere. It includes a car show with no judging and drag racing with no class restrictions. There’s also a swap meet, vendor midway and food. It’s all about making good friends and having a good time.
