The International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) is excited to announce the addition of 710 Dragway in North Carolina and Douglas Dragway in Georgia as the latest tracks to join the IHRA Member Track family.

Everyone knew Jason Rupert would be good. After all, he is a former world champion and national record holder in the nostalgia Nitro Funny Car ranks with a knack for putting down some very fast, very consistent laps.

They just didn’t know he would be this good.

Winning a championship, that is certainly no easy task in the high-stakes world of professional drag racing. Winning two? Now you are getting into something special. Winning two championships on the same day? Well, there really aren’t many ways to describe such a monumental feat. Winning five championships with four different sanctioning bodies? Who is this guy?

The racer in question is none other than Holdenville, Oklahoma’s very own Cary Goforth. A three-time Pro Stock World Champion entering the 2014 season, Goforth added two more championships to his resume this year including his most prized possession yet – an IHRA championship. But it was how he won those championships that made headlines.

No category within the Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series had a more exciting finish to the year than Nitro Harley.

With four drivers entering the final event of the season within reach of the title, the battle for the Nitro Harley championship came down to the final pass of the year between a trio of teammates with Mike Scott emerging as the 2014 IHRA Nitro Harley champion at the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals at Memphis International Raceway.
