This year’s Junior Dragster was built by Half Scale Dragsters. Based in Phillipsburg, N.J., Half Scale Dragster built the first Junior Dragster in 1992 and continues to be the leader in the sport of junior drag racing supporting the future drivers of the sport.
The Half Scale Swing Arm Junior Dragster is the premier bracket racing junior dragster on the market. The car is 148” long featuring a carbon rear wing. The swing arm chassis has many advantages for racer especially on bumpy race tracks, tracks with poor traction and when using the brakes on the top end.
Other features include an eye-popping, purple and blue paint scheme designed by Jerron Settles of Imagine That Customs. Other IHRA partners such as RJS Racing Equipment, Summit Racing Equipment, Hoosier Racing Tire, Keizer Wheels, Digatron USA, Digital Delay and Nic Woods Racing Engines have all contributed to the 2019 build.
The Junior Dragster is part of the IHRA Summit SuperSeries championship prize package that features a $3,000 payout from Summit Racing Equipment, an IHRA Gold Card, a World Champion Iron Man Trophy, and a World Champions Diamond Ring.
