Junior Dragster Profile: Anthony Carp

HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The International Hot Rod Association continues to highlight the Junior Dragster racers across North America in this special series.

The latest is Anthony “Smallz” Carp, a 14-year-old from Lindenhurst, Illinois who has been racing for five years. Anthony drives a Half Scale dragster and has five years of racing experience.

He races at the historic Great Lakes Dragaway, the oldest continuously operating drag strip in the world. His racing hero is NHRA Funny Car World Champion Jack Beckman. While Anthony’s Junior Dragster is nowhere near the 300 mph plus speeds that Beckman has achieved in Nitro-powered machines, he still gets a good sensation of speed.

We look forward to seeing Anthony many years at IHRA tracks as he has future plans to compete in Sportsman bracket racing.
