Hash comes from a family of racers with his mom and dad racing, and his grandpa racing for 40 years. A day after Landon’s big win, Jessica Hash, drove her Chevrolet Nova to the Sportsman win at the IHRA Division 1 Summit Team Finals, and helped Elk Creek Dragway win the team championship.
Asked what he liked best about racing, Landon talked about being more of a contender.
“I liked being able to see myself more competitive my first year. I was thrilled to get past the third round this past year and being able to win or runner-up in multiple races,” Hash said. “My goal for this year is to finish in the top five in points, but I’m gunning for first.”
Hash is appreciative that Sutherland Land Tech has come on to sponsor him. He doesn’t list a favorite school subject as he most looks forward to Friday at 3 p.m. knowing it’s the start of the race weekend.
After he graduates from the Junior Dragster ranks, Hash hopes that the great racers in his life will help him fix up a nice car in the Box or No Box class.
