“The Summit Sportsman National Championship will follow a national points system throughout the series. Points will be earned from the best seven (7) finishes at a maximum of ten (10) events” said IHRA Senior Director of Competition and Racing Operations Mike Baker. “Entry Points are included in the charts that follow. If a competitor does not qualify or does not run first round of eliminations they will be awarded 10 points for the event.”

“We are all looking forward to elevating the class racing program by not only offering the largest national championship points fund but also continuing our series wide live streaming program” stated IHRA Vice President Skooter Peaco. “Our live streaming program will feature a soon to be announced major carrier that will bring awareness and coverage to our sportsman racers that has never been offered in any program in the sport’s history. This will not simply be a final round feature or a set of highlights on a major carrier but a complete showcase of every race of every class from the first round to the final round.”
Summit Sportsman National Championship competitors will get a double dose of events in February as the weekend after the Immokalee double event Palm Beach International Raceway will host the second double race weekend of the season. This will give competitors traveling South to start their season four races in two consecutive weekends. At the completion of the Immokalee event, competitors will be welcomed to Palm Beach International Raceway for parking during the week between events. Specific details on early parking and a racer party for early arrivals prior to the PBIR event will be released soon.
