Two Dozen Racers Win Round Prizes at IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular in Texas

TRUMBULL, Texas — Two dozen International Hot Rod Association member drivers came away winners at the IHRA Summit Sportsman Spectacular event at Xtreme Raceway Park thanks to the support of the IHRA’s great partners.

Beyond the big prizes for those who advanced the furthest in eliminations, round prizes were awarded for the best losing packages of the first three rounds.D4S 8743

Top racer Justin Cervantes picked up a new Summit Racing Equipment 10x20 tent to provide protection from the elements after the first round of Saturday’s race. Vince Hernandez in No Box was the recipient of a $100 Sunoco fuel card, while Junior racer Justine Atkins picked up a Summit 10x10 tent.

 

Mallory Bontrager got the American Race Cars $250 gift certificate for the Top division in round two. Cameron Fulfer in No Box received an Abruzzi Transmissions $400 certificate towards the purchase of an 8-inch or 9-inch converter. Logan Atkins won a Summit Racing Equipment car cover for his Junior Dragster.

 

In round 3, the “Moser Money Round,” Top division driver Steve Tate received both a Moser $500 certificate and another $200 certificate from Jones Transmission Cooling Systems. No Box racer Jeremy Falkenbach also picked up a “Moser Money Round” $500 certificate, while Constance Scott received the “Moser Money Round” $250 certificate for Junior Dragster.

There were more winners Sunday starting with John Long Sr., who got a new 5-layer, Summit Racing Equipment fire jacket after the end of round one.D4S 8738

Jack Hughes in No Box picked up a single-layer Summit fire jacket. Addyson Owen was awarded re-entry into eliminations through Summit Racing Equipment which she used to go all the way to Sunday’s final round.D4S 8406

Max McGlothlin in the Top division received a $250 American Race Cars gift certificate in round 2. No Box racer Jerry Falkenbach picked up his second round prize of the weekend, a $100 Sunoco fuel card.D4S 8744

Logan Atkins was presented a single-layer Summit fire jacket for the Junior division.D4S 8740

Round 3 prizes included Dylan Bailey in Top receiving an Abruzzi Transmissions certificate for 10 percent off and a $200 Jones Transmissions Cooling System certificate. Charles Baker in No Box picked up a new Summit Racing Equipment 10 x 20 tent. 

 

In addition to the round prizes, Top racer John Stephan picked up a bonus from Battle Born Batteries.
